Media, Arts and Humanities Research Conversations: Human Flourishing
Wednesday 26 February 15:00 until 17:00
ÃûæÂÖ±²¥ Campus : Silverstone
Part of the series: Media, Arts and Humanities Human Flourishing
The Media, Arts and Humanities Research Conversations bring together groups of faculty and PGRs around shared areas of research interest. They are informal, with the primary aim of encouraging connections and potentially sparking new ideas and collaborations.
They take the format of three parallel conversations, taking place in the Faculty's research hub in Silverstone. Each of the three themes has a facilitator, and run for around an hour and a half. Colleagues are then invited to come together for discussions in a larger group.
This set of conversations sits within the broader Human Flourishing theme, and focuses on three topics that have been identified as growing, interdisciplinary research areas with the potential to generate exciting external funding opportunities.
The parallel conversations will take place on Wednesday 26 February from 3-5pm in Silverstone (SB302, SHL, SB314, and SB112) and the themes are:
- Giving Voice to the Unheard
- Trauma, Memory, Society
- Worlds of Feeling and Mass Observation
Coffee and cookies will be provided from 3pm in SB314.
Don’t worry if you feel torn between themes: choose one and you will be able to catch up with the discussion in the other groups via the summary reports on the Media, Arts and Humanities Institute website.
Please with your Sussex email address by Friday 21 Feb (to give us a sense of numbers for catering).
