Changes to email security for third party email tools and applications

To better protect our organization from phishing, spoofing, and email fraud, we are strengthening our email security policies. This change will help ensure that only trusted sources can send emails on behalf of our domain. It means that if an email is appearing to be sent from an @sussex.ac.uk email address and it is not properly verified, it has an increased chance of being marked as spam. If your team currently use any third-party services to send emails on our behalf, they need to be correctly set up to meet these new security standards.
This helps prevent cybercriminals from impersonating us, improves email deliverability, and ensures that important messages reach their intended recipients safely.
